Thom Dennis, DMin, LCPC, LMHC, FT

Dr. Thom Dennis is the creator of the Grief River model, a metaphorical approach for understanding loss across the lifespan.  For more than 30 years he has helped individuals and families come to terms with the death of loved ones.

Currently, he maintains a private counseling practice, in Galena, Illinois. He is also a trained spiritual director and sponsors weekend individual and group retreats.  

An engaging public speaker, he enjoys presenting on the topics of love, loss, grief, self-care & self-compassion, rituals, and life transitions.
